OUR STORY

Timbercoast started as a custom handmade furniture operation, making refined, functional pieces from West Coast Douglas Fir and Cedar. Cedar is a durable, renewable, and endlessly transformable material that has built societies all over the Northwest Coast of British Columbia for thousands of years.

A love of woodworking and using the incredible wood species available on Vancouver Island naturally led to Timbercoast expanding into contracting and construction services, renovations, remodelling, and building maintenance.

Unimpressed with the local building industry’s tendency towards unskilled, overcharged, and inefficient projects, we set out to do things differently. No Timbercoast job is “just a job.”Every project we do is a contribution to your business and property, accomplished with a high level of attention to detail.

We’re different because we’re invested in the process. Happy clients across the island can attest to our skills, experience and work ethic. We love interesting projects, no matter how small, that have challenges or “cool”aspects.

When we’re not getting covered in sawdust, Timbercoasters are hiking the rugged corners of Vancouver Island, looking for elk antlers or other outdoor enthusiasts who have lost their way with Search and Rescue..
